Two events are live in Resonance: Music Recess and Sweethearts

September brings two events to Resonance at once. Music Recess turns a slice of every morning into rewards for the whole month, and Sweethearts pairs you with the person who listens next to you and starts counting the days. Both are running right now.

Music Recess — all of September

Between 8:00 and 14:00 UTC, every minute you listen counts toward the event. Outside that window the music plays exactly as usual, it simply does not add to the total. The recess is a specific part of the day, not a background grind — the point is to give the morning a reason, not to ask for your whole month.

Five thresholds, each granted once:

• 15 minutes — the Falling Leaves ring around your avatar

• 1 hour— the Recess badge on your profile

• 12 hours — the Autumn theme

• 24 hours — Autumn theme FX, the animated version of it

• 36 hours — one month of Resonance Premium

The counter belongs to this September. Next year the event returns with a fresh total, and anything already granted is never granted twice. What you unlock stays yours after the month ends — the ring, the badge and the themes do not expire with the event.

Sweethearts — no end date

Sweethearts is not seasonal. Invite the person who listens next to you, and Resonance starts counting your days together. A day counts once it has actually arrived for both of you, so a time-zone gap never hands anyone a free day.

What the days open up:

• Your partner’s anthem on your profile

• Their avatar beside yours

• A block on the profile that belongs to the two of you

There are no minute thresholds here and nothing to grind — the only input is that you both keep listening. And if you would rather not see any of this, events can be switched off in settings; nothing about them is compulsory.

Both live in the same place: a capsule in the Resonance sidebar — a leaf for Music Recess, a heart for Sweethearts. Open it to see the minutes you have earned, the rewards already claimed and how far away the next one is.

Resonance runs in the browser at resonance.aperturesyndicate.com, in the desktop app, and on Android and iOS. The events are the same on every one of them.
