Rebellion: The price of gazing upon the gods is out

Rebellion is out. It's a co-op roguelike set in hell, it's free, it runs on Windows, and you can get it from ASInstaller under Games (downloading needs your APERTURESyndicate account).

The first time you launch it, before you even see the menu, it plays this:

The prologue

After that you go down floor by floor through hell, the Ravaged Earth and the Gardens of Eden, with a boss at the end of each one. Between runs you're back in Pentagram City, trading, forging and building up a piece of land of your own that you get to name.

Dying doesn't end the run straight away. You end up in a small arena with the goddess of Death, and if you hold out against her she lets you go back, but she only does that three times.

After the third time you get this instead:

The last death

You can play alone without an account, or sign in and bring a friend from the lobby. Your profile, your rebel's look and the codex with every weapon and creature live at rebellion.aperturesyndicate.com, and the license and privacy notes are in the docs. Story mode didn't make it into this release.
